Drum Circles for Human Empowerment

Drumming together creates a deeper feeling of belonging, fosters self-respect and a sense of accomplishment. It provides a positive outlet for emotions as well as the opportunity to feel part of something larger than themselves.

Feeling successful builds self esteem and it is that feeling Giving Tree Music strives for - to leave each participant thinking "If I can do this, next time I face a challenge I will remember this success and push forward”.

More recently, we have launched our Anti - Bullying program for schools and aftercare programs called "Hands on Hero". This program was co-written with Gainesville psychologist Dr. Jim Porter. Our mission is to demonstrate through drumming and interactive theater that young people have the power themselves to create positive change in their community, AND the right to demand a safe learning environment.

We have achieved tremendous success with youth detention centers and at-risk youth, special needs groups, The Lighthouse for the Blind, The American Cancer Society, Hospice and many others.

You can expect an interactive teambuilding event that will energize and empower a group of professionals as well as promote a deeper sense of camaraderie.

You can expect laughter, learning, and an increased mutual respect between teachers, students and their peers.

This is completely interactive, fun and truly an inclusive activity for people of all backgrounds. Best of all, everyone is always amazed at how great we sound!
