Stand Up, Speak Up combines the spoken words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with live drumming by Paul Gavin in this multi media interactive performance!  

See, hear, feel, and most importantly - truly think about the important calls to action that Dr. King proclaimed during the civil rights movement.

We will learn what it means to be "mindful" in our everyday lives and experience a 5 - 15 minute guided visualization for using the soothing sounds of  live hand pans and chimes. Learn immediate tools and techniques to start exploring the different modalities of mindfulness practice at home. 

Hands on Hero® is an evidence based social emotional learning program, incorporating hand drumming, designed to build resilience and encourage positive social behaviors.

This four to six session series will prepare your group for a performance wile learning how to be a "hero" for yourself and your community.

There is a certain magic when you play a musical instrument created entirely by YOU!  This drum will continue to sound great and bring smiles for many, many years!

You can make your very own, high quality  drum to play for years to come!  You will sand the drum shell smooth and prepare it for painting, then apply a base color.
